In March Corrimal High will be joining with other schools and the nation by participating in two significant days of action.
We have registered our school in the National Day of Action Against Bullying on March 15. The slogan for this year is Bullying. No Way! Take action every day. We will engage in various activities throughout the week to encourage positive and harmonious behaviour and explore the negative impacts of bullying on our self-esteem and sense of belonging.
On March 21, we will participate in Harmony Day where we celebrate the many diverse cultures that make up our rich and vibrant country. Diversity means difference. There is great diversity amongst human beings that enriches our societies, communities, and lives as individuals. Teaching young people to appreciate diversity in race, ethnicity, class, gender, age, religion, ability, sexual orientation, and size reduces prejudice and hate and promotes tolerance, respect, and peace.
We look forward to working with our students to enhance their positive relationships with their peers, teachers, family and community. We encourage parents to assist in promoting the message of harmony and anti-bullying along with us.
