For a student in the enrichment class, a high expectation exists that all students will avail themselves of the wide range of challenging opportunities that we offer at CHS. Students in this class will undertake a student special interest project. Students will have the opportunity to explore in depth an area that is of special interest to them. One lesson a week will be allocated across all curriculum areas, for the project to be undertaken in the library. The expectation exists that students in the enrichment class will also work on this project in their own time.
An important part of this project is the focus on goal setting, research skills, note-taking and developing confident communication and presentation skills. The final presentation will be a published piece of work.
The end result will be a display in the school library of all the projects from the Enrichment class. Awards are given to recognise to wonderful efforts of all students.
