29 Jul 2014
On the 22nd July 2014 seven students, Andrew Coppens, Joshua Hayles, Scott Hoskins, Sianna Dargin, Kayla Baines, Tyson Muru-Paegna and Nyeesha Clarke-Paulson, participated in the locally held NAIDOC Touch Football Knockout competition. The competition was fierce but the Corrimal high School team were up for the challenge winning their first match in the knockout 8 to 3 with some excellent skills shown by all players. Our more senior players exhibited some outstanding leadership qualities helping to direct some of the younger team members and all of our players showed great sportsmanship.
Unfortunately, the team were unable to win the next two matches, however, while present, they got to mix and connect with a range of other students from various other schools who participated in the knockout as well as to show case the amazing football skills to local community representative present on the day. We congratulate our students for a awesome display and look forward to future competitions.
